Grantee status, verified against IRS records.

Paste your client's grant list. Find My Grants finds each organization in the IRS Publication 78 list and the IRS Business Master File, fixes the legal name, fills in the address and EIN, and assigns the IRS foundation-status code. You get a workpaper-ready schedule for Form 990 and 990-PF, ready to export.

Verification uses free public data and needs no account: IRS Pub 78 and the IRS Business Master File through ProPublica.

AI web research (recommended)

For grantees the IRS files can't match (nicknames, misspellings, "doing business as" names), Claude searches IRS.gov, ProPublica, Charity Navigator and Candid (GuideStar) only, then identifies the organization and its EIN. If the EIN is in IRS data, the reference is the EIN. Otherwise it's the site it was confirmed on, with a link. Claude also proofreads Purpose text on request.

It needs an Anthropic API key (console.anthropic.com). Only unmatched rows use it, usually a few cents each. When it's on, those grantee names are sent to Anthropic. Make sure your firm's policies allow that.

Without "remember", the key is cleared when you close the tab.
